Batman: Arkham Asylum Question…

Alrighty, so to amped for the upcoming Batman: Arkham Origins game, I’ve been playing a lot of Arkham City. I then decided that I’d go an buy Asylum because I had borrowed it from a friend a few years ago and had gotten through about 85% of the overall game. I ended up getting the ‘Game of the Year’ edition and quickly found that all of my previous saved game data was gone, meaning I have to start from scratch on everything!

So my question is: Is the Arkham Asylum GOTY edition register as a different game entirely? And is there any way to get back to my old game data without having to track down a different version of the game?

Re-watching random SG-1 episodes

And I desperately want more movies. Things have changed in 4 years and if kickstarter can show you anything it’s that the fans will pay to see these things get made.

Is the current Secret Avengers series any good?

Can anyone recommend some good Black Widow stories?

I love the character but my knowledge doesn’t surpass what I’ve seen on TV and in the movies and I just re-watched The Avengers so I think it’s time to look into getting some trades.

Free Comic Book Day!

Tomorrow will mark the 11th year that Free Comic Book Day has been running. People of all sorts will flock to their local comic book stores in hopes of participating in one of the best comic book related events to come year round. Unlike a comic-con, everyone can attend Free Comic Book Day. All you have to do is show up and be curious of comics or already have a love for them. The important thing to remember with FCBD, is it’s all about hooking new fans. There’s nothing I love more than seeing kids dressed up and interested in what is going on.

We also have to be mindful of the fact that every store, big or small, have there own rules when it comes to FCBD. As in how many comics you’re allowed to take home with you. Me? I’ll probably only get one or two of the titles released for the day and I’ll look to see what else is offered then I’ll most definitely buy a couple of single issues and a trade. I don’t like to load up on as much as possible because FCBD doesn’t need to hook me. I’m already a fan of comics and I’m not going anywhere. So if I leave those other 8 books on the shelf then that’s 8 more kids that might pick them up and start coming to the shop on a weekly basis.

Gail Simone wrote a post urging people to be mindful that, even though the books are free, the retailers still had to pay for them, so don’t just go for the free books, take some time to look around your shop and if anything piques your interest, give it a try, what’s the harm? I’d like to see people doing the same!

I’ll be up bright and early tomorrow morning and head out to my local shop, Strange Adventures in Fredericton, New Brunswick and I hope to see lots of people in line.

Remember folks: Support your local comic book store!

So this happened on my Facebook today. I myself don’t find anything wrong with kids getting into The Hunger Games. If they’re reading and looking up to strong female characters, what’s wrong with that?
